Sales Manager and Marketing Director, Daily Herald
I am currently the Sales Manager and Marketing Director at the Daily Herald in Provo, Utah. I am very blessed to have a job that I love. I started working at the Daily Herald in December 2012. This is the first job that I have had in the workforce; before this I was a stay at home mother for 20+ years. I initially started as a sales rep and have successfully worked my way into my current position. I firmly believe that attitude is everything and that hard work always pays off.
Briefly tell us about your life outside of School/Work:
How did you know your path or decide your current path?
My path is two-fold. First, I want to make sure that my children grow up to be happy and healthy. Their education and ability to contribute to society are of utmost importance to me. Second, I want to change the way that domestic violence is handled on a national level. The state of Utah is moving in the right direction and we will lead the nation in domestic violence reform.
Every morning when I get up I ask myself if I can see God in my actions. If I can, I know that I am on the right path, He is my North Star.
How do you handle conflict resolution?
I believe that honest communication combined with an willingness to see differences from both sides will solve almost all conflict.
What does goal setting looks like for you?
I have come to embrace goal setting. I usually look at the big picture first. For example, where do I want to be in 20 years? From there I set smaller attainable goals that steer me towards the place I ultimately want to be.I recognize that small and consistent actions make all the difference and lead to success.
