How do you handle conflict resolution?
First, I identify the exact problem or issue to be addressed.
I break it down to smaller segments to address.
I research any information, if available.
I meet authorities on the subject, on the both sides, to learn the pros and cons.
I then meet with my team and strategist to come to a conclusion.
I then move forward toward the resolution, with a time line, and a plan to progress.
How have your career passions changed over the course of your career, and how have you managed transitions?
I have started 3 companies, in diverse areas:
1. Air Filter Distribution
2. Acting and Modeling Agency
3. Airplane rental business
and 2 Foundations, both dedicated to the Homeless:
1. A very large one in Mexico City for men, women and children.
2. A safe home for homeless women in Salt Lake City
I serve now on the Board of 3 large companies. So I understand small business and large business. Now I am running for Congress. I have managed the transitions by building on my previous knowledge while keeping my feet on the ground with good morals and values and compassion for those who don’t think they have a voice.
What’s the most exciting project you’ve worked on?
I believe the most exciting project I have worked on has been running for Congress. I have met many people of all levels and walks of life. I find each and every one of their lives fascinating. They tell me their important issues, and I try to find some kind of answer for them.
